Who
is allowed to acquire property in the Czech Republic ?
The following individuals and/or
entities can buy Czech Real Estate:
EU member state citizens as private individuals
EU member state citizens as companies (set up in the C.R.)
EU member state companies who set up a branch in the C.R.
EU member state companies who set up a new company in the C.R.
Non EU member state companies who set up a new company in the
C.R.
As you can see - almost anyone can buy Czech
real estate, but each of these entities is subject to different
procedures and 'ways' of going about it.
Buying Czech real estate can be confusing.
Understanding the buying of Czech real estate,
especially after the Czech Republic's entrance into the EU on
May 1st 2004 has continued to be a confusing issue, and in a way
it is confusing - if one attempts to plough through the many official
legislature laws.
Many of these legislatures, even now after the Czech Republic's
membership of the EU are still being revised, tweaked and updated.
It get's even more arduous to understand
who can buy what if one reads the many interpretations of these
legislatures by the real estate agencies, property brokers and
especially agencies acting as intermediaries between the foreign
client and the Czech laws.
