Buying
property in the Czech Republic for personal use
if you are a EU member state citizen:
[Since the Czech Republic's entry in the EU in 2004 - if you are an EU member country citizen, all you need is your EU residency proof / EU passport to buy property in the Czech Republic ]
You can buy Czech real estate for personal
use if... :
1.
If you are Czech, or your wife or husband are Czech.
2.
If you are a EU member state citizen and have a permanent residence
permit in the Czech Republic.

3.
If you are going to buy property as an individual,
intending to either live in that property permanently, go there
for your holidays, or use it as a second home, then you will want
to get a residence permit in any case.
Other than the residence permit, you do not need a business licence,
nor a company of any kind.
Bear in mind that we are here dealing with
buying the property for personal use and not for business purposes.
[ Business purposes would include setting up a bed
and breakfast operation or buying a house, renovating it and then
renting it out or reselling it. ]
NON EU member state individual citizens
wishing to acquire Czech real estate for private personal use
will still have to open a new company in the Czech Republic under
which to buy real estate on Czech soil.
